COLON HYDROTHERAPY
Frequently asked questions about Colon Hydrotherapy/Colonic Irrigation:
Does it hurt? The treatment should be absolutely painless and although some people find it a little strange rather than uncomfortable in the beginning, this soon gives way to a relaxing and psychologically uplifting experience. Most people become absolutely fascinated with the process.
Isn't it embarrassing? Colon hydro-therapists are trained professional therapists who are used to dealing with all sorts of body processes and parts. Your dignity and privacy are maintained and respected at all times and you are draped and covered during your treatment. You can rest assured that you will not feel embarrassed or nervous for long.
What can it do for me? Many people report feeling lighter, experiencing relief from constipation and improved skin and digestion as a result of the cleansing process that the treatment begins. The body needs to cleanse itself and enabling the more efficient expulsion of long-term waste from the body can be an enormous boost to the detoxification processes and maybe even kick-start a weight-loss programme when combined with exercise and beneficial dietary changes. Clients are given free personal advice on suitable lifestyle changes to enhance the beneficial effects of their treatments.
Is one treatment enough? Colon cleansing is a little like exercise; once can make you feel good but the best results come from including the process into your life regularly in the long term. In Dr. Enid Taylor's opinion, the best way to start is with three treatments within a 10 day period and having a treatment once every month or another batch of three each time the seasons change as a regular detox. Again, it depends on the individual's needs and state of digestive health. Your personal consultation will help you to establish a customised programme for you.
Are there any nasty smells or embarrassing noises? There are no noises, smells or other embarrassments associated with our (closed) system of colonic hydrotherapy. Rest assured that you will find this treatment fascinating, relaxing and easy. The first one is the only one you will have any qualms about, afterwards you will wonder what you were worried about and when can you come again?!!
How long does the treatment take? Treatments take 45-50 minutes but your first appointment includes a full confidential consultation with Dr. Taylor so allow another 45-50 mins this time only.
