LIVE BLOOD ANALYSIS
Live blood analysis is the taking of a tiny pin-prick of blood from a finger and studying it immediately under a powerful haemoscope (blood microscope). The view from the microscope is relayed to a computer screen so that the client and the therapist can easily see the microscopic view and discuss what is visible.
The live blood view can reveal:
- The condition, behaviour and strength of the red blood cells (erythrocytes)
- The presence, density and activity of the white blood cells (lymphocytes)
- Presence of and quantity of Cholesterol
- Presence and quantity of Triglycerides
- Clotting behaviour (speed and density of clotting factors)
- Clarity of environment (lymph fluid)
These visible components can indicate general patterns of health and implications such as:
- Inadequate hydration
- Low levels of antioxidants
- High fat diet – fat malabsorption, cholesterol, etc
- High acidic diet (too much animal protein)
- General level of toxicity
- Recent or imminent infections
- Stress damage
Live blood analysis shows you a quick snapshot of the quality of the blood in your body at that moment. Recent meals, insufficient water drinking, will all have an immediate effect on what is seen as the blood changes with each and every element which affects it, but general trends and overall conditions can be determined.
It is a good visible feedback mechanism and provides an excellent way to take a baseline assessment of overall health at the start of embarking upon a health regime. For example, many clients have a live blood analysis at the beginning of a course of colonics and dietary improvements. After three months (red blood cells live for a maximum of three months, so after this time, all will be renewed), another test can be taken to show the improvement that colonics and dietary changes have brought about.
During the consultation, you will see:
- your blood cells moving across the computer screen
- white blood cells will mobilise and begin squeezing through gaps in the red cells
- red cells will bounce off each other like slow-motion beach balls
- fibrous strands appear in response to the blood being “damaged” by being on the microscope slide.
All these activities and views are recorded in picture and movie form and you will be presented with a DVD of your blood as a record.
An assessment sheet is filled in recording the condition of all the visible elements of your blood and this forms the baseline of the following summary and consultation.
A full naturopathic consultation is incorporated into this test and forms the essential part of the summary and recommendations given at the end of the analysis.
Allow at least 1.5 hours for this analysis and consultation.
